Commission A Portrait

Commission a watercolor painting, pen and ink or graphite (black & white pencil) portrait of your horse, dog, cat or other animal. Fill out the form below to book your portrait or to inquire about a portrait, and I will contact you to go over all the details of what you want for your portrait.

If you would like to gift a portrait to someone and you do not have photos of the animal or you are not sure what that person may want, you can purchase a Gift Certificate for a portrait.

I require a 50% non-refundable booking fee for your portrait, with the balance due on completion (Deposits are non-refundable except in the unfortunate case where I have to cancel your portrait for some reason, whereby I will refund your deposit in full). I will be glad to take time payments of larger pieces. Just inquire when you send your form.

When you are ready to book your portrait, I will email you an invoice detailing the portrait that you want created, price, deposit and final balance. Deposits and final balance can be paid directly from the invoice with a debit or credit card.

Once completed, I will send you a photograph of your portrait before shipping. The balance of the portrait is due before shipping.

Time to complete each piece depends on the size and complexity but is generally 1 to 2 weeks once started.

•  NC tax of 6.75% is applied for orders within NC
• Other sizes available by request. 
• Prices includes both domestic and international shipping.
• Sizes are the size of the paper used for the painting or drawing.
• Any customs charges for international shipping are the responsibility of the buyer.
• Full backgrounds are an additional fee. Price will be quoted according to the complexity of the painting or drawing.

Please read the following terms and conditions - payment of your deposit is taken as accepting these terms.

1. All artwork is original and created by the artist using professional, archival materials.
2. All copyright, media use and reproduction rights are retained by the artist.
3. Any reproduction or similar use of the artwork must be agreed with the artist in advance.  Licensing for use of artwork is available, message for more information.
4. Bookings are not confirmed until a non-refundable, 50% deposit is paid (this will be included in the quote).
5. Once completed the artist will send an image of the completed work(s), at this point full payment is expected within 30 days. Artwork will not be shipped until payment has been made in full.
6. If after 30 days from completion, payment has not been received, the artist reserves the right to sell on the original artwork and reproductions.
7. Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date given. 
8. Good quality reference photos must be provided at the point of booking so these can be checked for suitability. 
9. The artist reserves the right to refuse to complete a portrait if not provided with suitable reference material (in which case deposits will be refunded). 
10. Shipping for both USA and international are included in the price. Clients are responsible for any/all customs charges and fees.

11. Paintings will be shipped Priority and insured. A tracking number will be provided upon shipping.
